Post up your best memories from one of the best FPS's of all time! The beginning of [BS!] is rooted in this game, don't diss. Heh.

I'll go ahead first...

It was Camborne-16 (the tunnels), Alu & I. I was pwning up with the shotty & Alu kept trying, but just wasn't getting it done.

Alu: "I don't get how you do it. Every time I try to kill someone with that gun, they never die. I'm right in their faces too!"
red: "Explain to me what you're doing."
Alu: "Ok. So, I sprint up to them & double-barrel. Pretty simple, right?"
red: "Are you un-sprinting?"
Alu: "What?"
red: "Are you UN-SPRINTING?"
Alu: "What do you mean by un-sprinting?"
red: "I mean that before you double-barrel, you need to tap the sprint button to get out of "sprint-mode" & then double-barrel. You can double-barrel essentially right after un-sprinting & you'll get the 1-hit kill. It's a gun accuracy thing. That's kind of the secret to it. LOL."
Alu: "What? Really? I never knew that. Hold on."
*BOOM*
Alu: "Haha! Oh shit! That's awesome!"

The romance that resulted between a man and his shotgun unfolded from there...and it was LEGEND.

i havent gone back to this game, but surely it will go down as one of the classics for me. it was what made me hooked on the PS3; made me a squirrel4life; made me love FPS for good.

i think in general, i just loved rolling out with a handful of squirrels. toward the end of my stint, i was primarily only an Auger / Dragon user. i wish i had used them earlier on! it was so much fun, teaming up with Red / Mulligan / Alu / Illa and the rest of our crew. yelling "fiiiiyaaaaa" while crispafying hoards of chimera. or mowing down dudes thru walls with the auger.

maybe my favorite memories were when we started the "squirrel calls". i gotta say, iLLa had the best "shrieeeeek." that shit was dope. we need to bring back the team mentality, bring back the squirrel calls, and get the clan playing together like the good 'ol days. that is what i miss....

lol ah the day i learned the secrets of the SKILLGUN! good times, heh

one of the funniest things i remember playing with the squirrels was on Rooftops. i finished in first place with only the SKILLGUN! happy

oh and other times when ive pissed off other clans such as AoD lulz

when u say rooted i laughed! silly culture vocab HAHA

anyway...

this game was the foundation of my first online experience in gaming. i had two other mates playing this in which we all team up occasionaly to play- i made my own clan and we had 5 members. i couldn't say i was the best at this game until later on. I initially didn't know shaking the controller would stop the fire burning you, and would always die. i always stuck to my carbine and bullseye. in recent times i joined red playing this and i can see how u are the guru of this game (ie. training sessions). I have now joined the r:fom clan roster haha

Gotta say that RFoM still has the best HS notification/sound/ribbon. It's so damn satisfying in this game.

LOL. That reminds me of a South Park episode... You guys seen the "Goo-backs" episode where nondescript people from the future come back to the present to do cheap labor, so they can put the money away for the far future? All these country bumkins are like,"They took our JOBS!!!" & decide that in order to fight against the "Goo-backs" they should just not have kids. This, quite naturally, leads to a massive male only orgy. Shit was hilarious.
