after the debacle last night with dux, i lost all confidence in my ability to, well, talk. i was just so bland and i want to cry now. what i propose is not exactly a "dual comm" per se. it may even surpass dual comms in "kick-assitry" and still involves multiple ppl (the more, the merrier!). what i would like to do (actually, doing already) is make a scripted commentary, not (neccessarily) based on live gameplay. currently i am doing a help vid on "how to improve KD/gameplay". i will write out a few pages of script, then record over a game connected to that theme. Next, one of u guys will either read the script and/or watch my vid, and make a response to it (contradictions, agreements, new variation) or offer completely new advice or a whole different approach based on the topic. This way, we could each have our "own take" of things, while still remaining interconnected on a central theme and build up a pool of information. part of a series, which may make it more interesting since its as if the story continues, but with a different author. (and we are not stumbling and botching the comm since we Know what we want to say.)
themes could be:
general tips for improving
fav weapons, perks, add-ons (stats, gun history (homework!), adv/disadv, some examples tied into gameplay)
fav position on maps, fav defensive spot, fav tricks (could be camping vid.)
style of gameplay, reasoning (possibly shaped by your gaming history)
fav gamemode, breakdown of rules (for non gamers), how to Pwn it, hints
why you love the game (shotties, longshots, knifing, multi-kills, etc.)
reminiscing on days past (RFom/COD4/whatever) or an event involving Squirrels
another reason this is a fucking fun idea is because, say for example a "fav defensive spot" vid, chubakka could say "i like holding down the air hanger on Crash" which would force me (or red) to record a game holding that position. then he could respond to the gameplay and say "i would have done it this way because..." or "i didnt even think of that, it really works." etc. but all the while, its his comm so he can include/dismiss any of the vid footage as he pleases.
same could apply for fav weapon, perks, style of gameplay, etc. the commentator would essentially be pre-picking what they wanted to talk about (according to the theme), and even if they cant physically record it, they can get red/me to act it out on their behalf. i think thats cool. this would allow you guys to get as close to recording your own gameplay (tell us specifically what u want us to do/play) and u gain your own commentary experience (should u ever want to get a recorder). good deal, no?
whos down for this, fuckers?
