As to whether Reach is going to be my main game or not, we'll see. I'm quite certain that I'll pick up BLOPS & the modes seem attractive enough to keep my attention, but we'll just have to see. And BLOPS will probably be an instant purchase. I'm not waiting. LOL.

The 'guns' you are talking about aren't guns. They are vehicles.

red, why is it that keeping a good K/D on halo is so hard? I've heard that 1.3-1.5 is pretty beastly. But high K/D games aren't all that uncommon. Why is this?

It's a combination of things. I'm sure I'll miss some of them.

1. It's really easy to get gang-raped and/or sandwiched in this game. Either that or get your kills stolen.
2. The power weapons are actually quite powerful (ie. dominant). The Sword/Hammer/Shotty/Sniper Rifle are all quite difficult to counter, if used correctly by a smart player. This usually results in free kills for them.
3. It's a bit difficult to run away, IMO. Not having a universal sprint in many of the modes causes this, along with the open nature of the maps.
4. Unless it's Slayer Pro of some kind, you show up on the radar no matter the speed you walk. This is a definite factor, as people & their team mates will almost always know where you are before you arrive. All of the preemptive nades can get a bit annoying & tiresome after a while. Sure you can crouch, but it takes FOREVER to get anywhere like that.

I'll try to think of other reasons. I'm starting to fall asleep in front of the computer, as it's 3am.

dude. i love the graphics/rendering u used at the beginning of the game! what was that? fucking sweet. looks like a sketch of a cartoon overlayed on the cartoon itself.

i have no idea whats going on.
smashing ur fist into the ground with lighting.
sniping/zooming with a pistol.
every kill seemed to be a shotty-blast, then immediate melee. is there any delay in between?
but good fun either way.

Gyeah. That's just the 'cartoon' video effect that comes standard with iMovie. Glad you liked it.

That's Armor Lock (AR). It gives a certain length of invincibility, but use lose mobility when you AR. When the armor breaks, it lets off a small EMP blast that can fully deplete opponent's shields if they stand too close. This gives the AR player a chance to 1-hit melee kill, if they were able to bait their opponent into coming close enough--you just have to release the AR button at the right time.

If there is a delay between the shotty blast & a melee, I'm not aware of it.

Actually, I've yet to do that. I think it would have resulted in much less games due to the fact that the game hasn't had a proper launch here yet. I think that will be on the 18th. I might try region search tonight, however. For some reason they've got two releases here. The 11th had a J-subtitles version & the 18th will be J-dedicated, iirc.
