and YAY!!!!!! dont worry Guz, we are all in the same boat. we all loathed MW2 at some point for the many mistakes and blunders. but at the same time, we cant deny how much fun weve had as well. there will be annoyances. with literally thousands of ppl playing it, ppl will find something to exploit and capitalize on, which will infuriate others. its gauranteed. but we also have the luxury of playing with our clanmates again. for me, COD4 and MW2 have pretty much defined my PS3 and online FPS experience. im sure u will find it delightful, challenging, infuriating, addicting, and entertaining too. im happy u joined the dark side!

i watched the whole thing, 1hr1min worth! some good info. but nothing shockingly new to update u with. mostly just small stuff.
does show in-depth game of Nuketown (tiny map). plus a good look at the Wager matches and a few tricks for those. later shows jungle map.

however, lots of things dont get unlocked right away, so it will take u until level 10, 20, or 30 to get some stuff like customization for reticule, facepaint, etc. not the biggest deal, but that means u dont get to use some stuff for 1/2 the time if u keep prestiging.

there may be barebones playlist for every game mode
3 types of contracts: mercenary / operations (mode related) / specialist (specific challenge)
some contracts are COD$ only, some give both $ and xp.
nuketown 14:20 until 29:20 is a tiny map
nova gas at 20:10

one in the chamber from 33:11 .fresh respawn shows as blip on radar for ~2 seconds
asia-map (not jungle) from 33:11

all wager matches must have 6 players exactly to play it.
sticks n stones 38:45 cracked.
bgmaps are split in 1/2 for wager matches
tomahawk kill will drop that player to zero points (for the game)

Rule A: Never approach an enemy's body after he's been killed.
Rule B: Take corners as wide as possible, esp if a enemy is suspected to be there.

(assuming use of a silencer)
Rule 1: when flashed or stunned go to prone, and always fire
Rule 2: if i hear an enemy clearly coming around a corner, i start firing before i see him (lag / input lag factor for me)
Rule 3: never stay near teammate firing un-silenced weapon

but few tips on the side:
- If you are being chased in close qaurters, run around a corner then shimmy back and shoot or knife. 9/10 times they won't expect that..
- Use stuns/concussion grenades as much as possible when in pursuit of an enemy.
- Don't be a sheep and follow exact path of team-mates. Keep safe distance in case of suprise attacks.

dont know how trustworthy the source is, but apparently this guy (dedicatedserversplease) found out through twitter with the game devs that the PS3 will not be getting the Regional Matchmaking as promised. when i first saw the thread at lunch, it was on page one. now, at 3pm, it has already reached 20 pages. (though most are posts from noobs with no relevant input).

its disappointing if true, but at the same time things cant be any worse than they were for COD4/MW2. i dont like the system at all, of connecting to overseas players to act as host, but ive gotten used to it. just quit and search for a new game with green bars.

While I agree that this is lame too, what did he expect? I'm getting Black Ops. I don't expect my connection to be that great or for the game to be even relatively fair in regards to latency. The fact that he's whining about no regional search is dumb too. Even then the game is still about latency between peers. He makes it sound like this would fix everything. You'd need LAN, or in this case, Dedicated Servers.

IDK. While it's a legitimate complaint, & I agree, he shouldn't be hypocritical about it.

Well i'll be one of the first to get black ops, so all of you will be following duxy bo peep.

And about the servers issue. I'm not really that fussed. The amount of times I've put up with yellow and red bar connection, and can still finish top of the scoreboards. Do you think I'm gona whine like a little bitch "oh no, my connection is bad. oh i better complain to everyone about it because it's ruining my online experience.. waaaaa!!"

If it's anything like previous games i've played online, then I'm satisfied enough..
